Short & sweet was our 4th of July weekend. We managed to pack in plenty of activities though.
A bunch of us went out on my cousin's boat on Saturday. It was Reid's first time on a boat, & it didn't seem to phase him.
Soon after we started going down the inter coastal we saw a big oil crew:(
We thought the area where we parked the boat was ok, but after a few minutes the smell set in, & the more we looked around, the more we realized the color of the water, & just down from us was hundreds of tar balls. Very depressing. We packed back up & went to a different beach that was better, but it was still there. Reid had a blast, though. He played in the sand non stop.
On Sunday we went to the condo where Nick's sister & her husband were staying. His parents & other sister's family were also there.
We watched the fireworks from the boat dock that night. Reid had to miss out on those...it had been a very long day.
Here are a few more pictures from the weekend:
Reid & his cousin Emory (two months apart)
Finally, here is Reid at Target yesterday. Notice he has his "lovie" in one hand, & the remote that he swiped from our bedroom before we left. He had a death grip on it, so I just let him keep it to avoid a meltdown:)

Very cute pics!:) I think my favorite is the lovie and remote...I agree with you...sometimes the tears are just not worth it!
ReplyDeleteI am glad to know that someone else's child loves a remote like Ford does. We have even left home with our house telephone before!
ReplyDeleteHahaha @ the remote! He's too cute- and getting so big!
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT!!!
